Oh how amazing God's creations are! We had our beach day planned for our activity today at Snow Hill park. There is a great strip of beach and we were going to celebrate the gratitude that we feel for our bodies.
President Nelson would like us to, "give thanks for the gift of life, for our amazing bodies and minds, that allow us to grow and learn". Our numbers were small and we were thwarted from the beach and the water by thousands of sea nettles (jellyfish). Our retreat up the hill to visit under shady trees and a slight breeze was the stage for a great discussion. Life often has us shift our plans. One of our greatest lessons to learn here on earth is to align our will with God's will. As we shared a few of the things we have learned over the years, gave encouragement to younger sisters, and talked about education and life we got to know each other a little better. While it may not have been the fun beach day we had expected it turned out just right.
